“I would highly recommend Hesper Dickson! As first time buyers, we were very anxious about the whole process, and Hesper went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and that we were comfortable during the process. We were constantly updated with new houses to look at on a daily basis, and she was always willing to work around our work schedule to be open to show us houses. She was also a great negotiator, when we ended up in a bidding war with another potential buyer. I felt safe in Hesper’s care. She even helped us with questions we had after we officially bought our house and had already moved in! I definitely will be using her again in future buying or selling of homes. You will not regret working with her!”

Hesper has always cherished the unique character of Western North Carolina, not only for the area’s beauty and diversity, but for the deep connections the region has to her family and her past. Whether she’s exploring country roads with clients, or enjoying cycling with friends, Hesper loves the process of discovering places that are new and exciting, but are also reminiscent of her own personal history and the rich character that is unique the Appalachian mountains.

Born in Brevard NC, Hesper earned her bachelor’s degree in Housing and Interiors from Appalachian State University in Boone. She has lived in Henderson, Buncombe and Transylvania counties, working in a variety of aspects of the construction industry, from home remodeling and design to contractor sales.  Hesper joined Steve Owen and Associates ten years ago and enjoys working with buyers and sellers. Four years ago she teamed up with Billy Harris and they now work as a team for Steve Owen and Associates.

Her familiarity with the region and understanding of the housing industry give her a set of skills uniquely suited to NC real estate. And she takes pride in going the extra mile for her buyers and sellers: her tireless work ethic, comprehensive due diligence, ability to coordinate key players and attention to detail consistently result in successful closings.

“It’s pretty exciting, the process of getting to know your clients, exploring the area, and helping buyers find the place that’s the perfect match for them. And after you’ve navigated the road to closing the deal, it’s rewarding to know that you’ve helped someone create the future that they always dreamed was possible.”

In her personal life, Hesper enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, hiking, cycling, and spending time with her family, friends and pets.

“My quality of life, in Brevard NC, is pretty amazing – whether it’s cooking with friends, getting out in the forest, or enjoying local music. When you’ve lived here your whole life, it’s easy to take all that for granted. That’s one of the things I enjoy about my work; my clients are constantly reminding me of how lucky I am to live in Transylvania County. And in return, when I’m showing Brevard’s real estate to buyers, it’s great to have a familiarity with the area, or even personal stories, that I can share. It gives them a deeper insight, a more authentic connection, than they’re going to find in a brochure.  It is not just a house for sale or land for sale in Brevard, NC it is really a whole why of life we have to offer and share with buyers wanting to move to WNC.”
